The Arts & Enneagram
Sundays, 4pm- 5:30 PM (EST)
Workshop 1 on May 21, 2023: Introduction
Workshop 2 on July 9, 2023: Creative Activities

Workshop 3: Putting Activities into Practices & Creating a Daily Practices

Many of the greatest artists in history can be analyzed through the Enneagram personality typing system. For example, Vincent van Gogh is often considered a Type Four - the Individualist - due to his intense emotions and desire for authenticity. Pablo Picasso is often considered a Type Seven - the Enthusiast - due to his love of adventure and constant need for stimulation.

By understanding the Enneagram types of these artists, we can gain insight into the motivations behind their creative work and their relationships with others. For example, Type Fours like van Gogh often struggle with feelings of inadequacy and seek to express themselves through their art. This may lead to a tendency towards isolation and difficulty in forming close relationships. On the other hand, Type Sevens like Picasso may struggle with feelings of boredom and restlessness, which can lead to a tendency towards impulsive behavior and difficulty in committing to long-term relationships.

The Enneagram is a powerful tool for self-awareness and personal growth. And what could be more fun than exploring it through the arts? The arts are a perfect way to explore the Enneagram, as they offer a unique language for self-expression. In this workshop, we'll use visual arts, music, and many forms of creative arts to explore the nine Enneagram types creatively to learn about the Enneagram and to begin your journey of self-discovery. We'll learn about how each type operates at their best and at their worst, and we'll discover the essential gifts that each type brings to the world.

By understanding our own personality type, we can learn to live more authentically and connect more deeply with others. We'll also use the arts as a 'doorway' to understanding our own Enneagram type and how we can grow and develop in healthy ways. The sessions will discover the essential gifts of each type and how they can be used at their best. We will also look at the ways each type can become unhealthy and explore our creative healing tools for each type. So whether you're a musician, an artist, or just someone who loves to create, this workshop is sure to be a fun and enlightening experience.
